Individual coaching

One-to-one coaching for a situation that has stalled

Twelve hours of one-to-one work on a real situation. You choose your own coach from two or three certified profiles, the objective is written down before the first session, and everything said in the room stays there.

When it helps

The situations that lead people to coaching

  • A recent promotion where the job turned out to be different from the one you accepted.
  • A working relationship that has become costly and that you cannot walk away from.
  • A decision you have been circling for months and keep deferring for reasons that no longer convince you.
  • Speaking, asserting yourself or holding up under pressure — where the skill exists but does not show up when it counts.

Coaching is not therapy and not consulting. A coach does not diagnose, and does not tell you what to do. If what you need is expert advice or clinical support, we say so before an engagement starts rather than take it.

How it works

How it unfolds, from first exchange to last session

  1. You choose your coach

You meet two or three certified coach profiles and pick the one you want to work with. The fit between two people decides more of the outcome than the method does, which is why this is the first step and not an administrative detail.

  2. A written objective

A dedicated session sets out what you want to be different, stated concretely enough that you will know whether it happened. Where an employer is paying, that session is three-way and includes your manager or HR.

  3. The sessions

Twelve hours, in sessions of ninety minutes to two hours, in person in Mauritius, online, or a mix of the two. Progress is tracked against the objective throughout, on indicators agreed rather than assumed.

  4. A close, on a date set in advance

The final session reviews whether the objective was reached. Where the engagement was three-way, it closes three-way too. Coaching with no end date becomes a habit rather than a change.

Frequently asked questions

Should we book training or coaching?

Training teaches a shared method to a group and suits several people needing the same foundation. Coaching starts from one person's specific situation, has no curriculum, and suits a manager stuck on something particular.

Is coaching confidential when my employer is paying?

Yes. The employer agrees the objective at the outset and receives progress against that objective, never the content of sessions. What is said in a session stays between coach and client.

How many sessions does a coaching engagement take?

Twelve hours in total, in sessions of ninety minutes to two hours — so six to eight sessions, two to three weeks apart, and an engagement of roughly three to six months. The volume is fixed before the first session rather than extended as it goes.

Can I choose my own coach?

Yes. You meet two or three certified coaches before the work starts and pick the one you want. Nobody is assigned a coach, because the fit between the two people is what determines whether the engagement produces anything.
